Words of Wisdom

Do you live in chaos but do not understand why? Do you stop to think about the fundamental truths about becoming and remaining organized? I bet you do not. I do but organizing is my life. And because I do think about this constantly, I am giving you some interesting, thought-provoking ideas to keep in mind. Some might resonate with you. Becoming and remaining organized is more than a process. It is a way of life.

The Organizing Process

Follow these 10 steps when organizing your space and take anxiety and frustration out of process. For many, organizing is a dreadful challenge. When you have a system and follow a specific process, you remove much of the uncertainty and fear. Then it all looks less daunting. Uncovering the reasons that prevent you from being organized might take a while. In the meantime, bypass this step and get organized. You will start feeling much better and probably will be in a better position to explore the underlying reasons for the chaos around you.

Packing Lists

Forgetting essentials when you travel? Long nights packing before a trip? Good news! It’s not you, it’s your system. Never again forget what you need with well-thought, comprehensive (yet efficient) packing lists. Simplify your process! Print and laminate these lists to check off the items as you pack. Then include the lists in your suitcase so you never forget anything on your way back.

Home Selling and Moving Guide Plus Household Essentials

From the moment you decide to move until moving day, this guide is packed with tips and timely reminders of what to do and when. The whole process is broken down in six major phases that include ample recommendations about staging.
The last portion of this guide contains the “Move-In Household Essentials”.
Imagine moving into a new home with just your clothes, a few valuable items, and your files… Then intentionally bringing into your space only what makes your home functional and appealing; and surrounding yourself with what speaks to your soul.
I bet you would be in a much better position to achieve your life’s goals and be happier. Perhaps for the first time ever, you will say the word “home” and feel in your body the calm and joy your home should bring you.
Excessive belongings clutter your life, impede your progress, and shut doors to better things. What if you could start anew, the right way, without the distraction of everything in your life that you do not even recognize?

This Move-In Household Essentials list contains what a well-appointment home needs, without clutter or excess. This guide should inspire you to see what you have that do not need, and what you need but do not have. If you take some time to think about it, you will hopefully achieve the uncluttered, organized, inviting home you have always dreamed of.

Your Annual Domestic Plan

The “Annual Domestic Plan” is a proposed list of things we would ideally accomplish consistently, year after year, to better care for our homes, our possessions, our families, and ourselves. These are the little things that make the difference between feeling in control of your life or feeling that life and things overrun us. This is what is at the core of effective household management.
Hopefully, seeing the list herein will motivate you to prepare your own, comprehensive list of the important tasks in your life. Some might be big and cumbersome while others might be seemingly unimportant, but if neglected, these are the things that can quickly add up and make you feel out of control.
Preparing a plan is the first step to accomplish these things consistently. Achieving this will feed your life with big and little “wins” every day – the kind of feeling associated with emotional wellbeing.

Maristella transformed our home!! I can’t use enough words to express how grateful we are for her. She helped organize our home to be functional and yet homey. She worked with my husband to surprise me with my dream closet! She is very caring and very knowledgeable. When things needed to be thrown away or donated, she handled my feelings so well and helped me understand why they were unnecessary things. Highly recommend her to anyone! No job is too big or small. She will change your life!!

I have worked with Maristella, from My Space Reclaimed, on some challenging organizing jobs. She is light-hearted but at the same time exerts just the right amount of pressure on the client in order to efficiently advance the job. Her ability to make the client feel safe and at peace is outstanding. Maristella is friendly, gentle, and supportive. I observed that clients feel they are moving forward towards the achievement of their goals and that they experience relief working with her.
